If you've never rented a trailer before, the process is simpler than it sounds — but a few details trip up first-timers every week. Here's what to expect before you show up at 600 Red River Dr.
What You Need to Bring
- A valid driver's license — no special towing endorsement required for our trailers
- A vehicle with a hitch and ball size that matches the trailer (2" or 2-5/16" ball, depending on the trailer)
- A form of payment for the rental and refundable security deposit (around $100 on most trailers)
You don't need a CDL or any special license to tow any trailer in our fleet — these are all standard consumer-towable trailers behind a properly equipped truck or SUV.
How Rental Days & Rates Work
A rental day runs 24 hours from pickup, not a fixed calendar day. Every trailer has a daily rate and a discounted weekly rate for 7-day rentals — for example, the utility trailer runs $80/day or $476 for the week, and the car hauler runs $120/day or $630 for the week. Longer jobs almost always make more sense on the weekly rate.
Deposits & What Voids Them
Most rentals require a refundable deposit, returned when the trailer comes back in the condition it left in. Normal wear from a properly loaded, properly towed trailer isn't an issue — deposits typically get affected by things like missing tie-downs, damage from overloading, or returning the trailer noticeably dirtier than it left.
Take a quick photo of the trailer at pickup and at return — it takes ten seconds and avoids any dispute either way.
